Buy A Radio To Free Sarawak

Congratulations, everyone! We did it!

It’s been a truly awesome 16 days.

Thanks to your generosity, we not only reached our target of buying 2200 units of SW radios, but actually exceeded it! We got 2,497 radios!

We owe especially big thank-yous to several amazing individuals (you know who you are!) who generously donated technical skills, creative wizardry and rallied family, friends and colleagues to the cause and kept in constant contact with our team.

We are humbled by your belief in this Initiative and happy that so many of us share dreams for a better Malaysia and are willing to work for it.

Orders rolled in even after 12 midnight as we were in the process of disabling the e-commerce system.

The team is tabulating and cross-checking the figures and we will come back to you soonest on the final count. The orders paid for through bank transfers need careful reconciliation. So please stay tuned to our Facebook pages and website.

As you can see, we have only completed Phase I of our broader campaign, so we still need you to continue to promote this Initiative far and wide, especially to those who want to see change happen in Malaysia.

With your help, we look forward to arming our Dayak warriors with all that they need to go into the most crucial battle of all – GE13. With them, lie our hopes for a better Malaysia!

Buy A Longboat To Free Sarawak

Dear fellow supporters, We did it again!

When we closed the “Buy a longboat to free Sarawak” campaign on May 27, our collection stood at RM34,250. We were RM3,750 short of our targeted RM38,000. But today, we are pleased to inform you that we have exceeded our target (please refer to the accounts below).

The excess money will go towards the general fund for other miscellaneous and strategic needs of the three adopted candidates – Nicholas Mujah (P202-Sri Aman), Abun Sui (P216-Hulu Rajang) and Roland Engan (P220-Baram).

Once again, thank you all for your trust and support for this Initiative. We will not have come this far without your generous contributions. As a measure of how far we’ve come, P216 Hulu Rajang has now been ‘upgraded’ by PKR to be one of the focus seats! It’s all thanks to the SW radios that you’ve helped bought for the longhouse residents to tune in to Radio Free Sarawak and Khoo Wee Hong’s initiative-within-an-initiative to collect donations for the two longboats and an outboard engine for Abun Sui’s team to go to the ground!

Credit to Abun Sui, too, for persevering with his campaign against the odds!
